Jennifer Garner is a West Virginia native, born in Houston on the 17th April in 1972. Her dad, William John Garner, worked as a chemical engineer at Union Carbide. Patricia Ann Garner taught in an institution near to her. His father worked as a chemical engineer and she aspired to become like his. In order to follow her dream of becoming an actress, she moved to New York to try her chance in the movie industry. The restaurant she worked in was and was a part of Broadway shows. The TV show "Felicity," she had one brief appearance. (It was on this show where she met the man she married, Scott Foley. She got her big break with the action-thriller "Alias." Garner's first leading role was the widely praised love story "13 Thirty-something." She played a teenager who found herself stuck in the body of the 30-year-old. Garner selected Gary Winick for the role as director. Both actors continued working with each other on various projects until Winick died in 2011. Garner has been designated as an ambassador for artists with Save the Children U.S.A. during 2009, had an integral role in the organization. Role includes national literacy promotion, nutrition, early education and different aspects. Garner was a member as a member of the board since 2014, has been an advocate for the cause of early learning. As an ambassador she visits often with families who participate in Early Steps to School Success, a program that coaches parents in how to assist the children in learning.
