She is best known for her performance as Judy Kramer from the 2005 Fox TV series Point Pleasant and Marcy Brender from Dawson's Creek. As a character on the Guiding Light soap show, she played Marina Cooper. This role was a winner of an award by Soap Opera Digest in 2003 for Outstanding newcomer. Dollar was on screen as Cindy Thomas from 2007 until the year 2008 on ABC's Women's Murder Club. The actress was on the 2012 NBC series pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked-up.
